Douglas Luiz still on Roma’s radar

Douglas Luiz is rumoured to have had a falling out with Aston Villa which makes him a perfect target for Roma’s midfield in the upcoming summer window.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Luiz is pushing for a move abroad after his experience in the Premier League.

The Giallorossi are very interested in the player and consider him the ideal profile to help strengthen José Mourinho’s midfield for next season.

However, the main obstacle remains the midfielder’s elevated price-tag of €20 million, which is deemed to high by the capital club given Luiz’s contract with Villa is set to expire in 2023.

Thus, Roma are also considering various alternatives including Lyon’s Aouar and Bayern’s Marcel Sabitzer.
