Seydou Doumbia, Newcastle striker who is on loan from Roma, spoke to AfricaTopSports.com, here are his words:
I plan to continue my experience in England. Will I stay at Newcastle in the event of relegation? I can not say. But I would still like to play in the Premier League. In any case, the loan will end in late May. I am no longer thinking about Roma, even though I’m still under contract with them. My desire is to play in a team where I will feel good until the end of my career.
Your exit from Roma?
Simply, Roma did not want me there. I was ready to stay for another six months, then it was revealed that they had changed their minds. They had two options for me: staying in Rome without playing for 4 months or trying an experience in another league. So, in spite of myself, I chose to accept the loan at Newcastle. We will see how it ends.”
