Dries Mertens nears Napoli exit: “I want to find a good club.”

Napoli attacker Dries Mertens – who was recently offered to Roma, among other teams, by his entourage – addressed his future in question in a recent press conference for the Belgian national team.

“I want to make the right choice, I want to find a good club,” he said when asked about the pending contract renewal with Napoli.

“I am calm, but I think a lot about my choice. I thought I was staying at Napoli,” he continued. “I find it strange that they have waited so long. I haven’t heard from anyone about the contract extension yet.”

“I hope in the next few days or weeks I can let you all know about it,” he concluded.
