Colombian attacker Duvan Zapata discussed his failed move to Roma.

In his first press conference for Torino, Zapata was asked about his interest in joining Roma earlier in the summer and the collapsed negotiations which resulted in him joining the Granata instead.

“I chose Torino because they made me feel important,” said Zapata. “I’m not sure if I felt the same at Bergamo. That is why I accepted their proposal right away. They were the only team to have been really interested in me,” he added.

“Roma? I didn’t join the Giallorossi because Atalanta refused to let me go. Then, in the last days of the window Torino approached me and I was very pleased with it,” he concluded.
