Columbian attacker Duvan Zapata is edging closer to extending his stay in Bergamo.
Despite having been heavily linked with Roma and agreed personal terms with the capital club, Zapata is likely to remain with Atalanta, reports today’s edition of Il Tempo.
Roma have been discouraged by Atalanta’s demands and their recent changes to the terms of a potential deal involving Zapata.
The Bergamaschi kept raising the fixed fee and forcing Roma to commit to a permanent deal for the veteran attacker, something which the capital club objected to.
Thus, as of right now, chances are that Zapata will remain in Bergamo and play there until the expiry of his contract.
