Roma are reportedly closing in on Duvan Zapata from Atalanta.
The Columbian striker is the primary name to reinforce Jose Mourinho’s attack alongside Marcos Leonardo from Santos.
According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, Zapata has been pointed out by the Special One as the necessary veteran attacker to replace Tammy Abraham for large portions of next season.
The Italian newspaper claims the deal for Zapata could go through on favorable terms for Roma.
Roma are hoping to pay a fixed fee of around €3 million (or less) for the loan with an option to buy for €6-7 million which could be triggered as an obligation based on certain performance-related criteria such as Zapata featuring in 40% of games and other bonuses such as goals scored.
