Paulo Dybala was once again the hero of the night as he led the Giallorossi over Genoa to advance in the Coppa Italia tournament.
The Argentine attacker came on in the second half and helped resolve the game with a wonderful strike that was enough to seal the win.
After the final whistle, Dybala expressed his admiration for the supporters at the Stadio Olimpico.
“I felt the supporters’ love before becoming a World champion, that means a lot to me. Today the celebration was beautiful, it will be unforgettable. Fortunately the day ended on a positive note,” he told Sportmediaset.
“There is certainly room for improvement,” he added. “We all have to improve, myself included. I will lead by example.”
“Coppa Italia is one of our objectives for the season: we know we can win it, but we have to believe in it. Gini [Wijnaldum] will help us: he will be an important addition,” commented the Argentine.
“We will fight on all three fronts for the remainder of the season. The Coppa Italia is a clear objective: there are few games left, we have the players to do it. There are teams in the league that are stronger than us. We are a good team, but we have to work and give something extra if we want to get to the top 4. The Europa League is also important.”
