Dybala and Pellegrini’s injuries deemed not serious

Andy Mattioli

Roma are ready to breathe a sigh of relief as reports suggest the injuries sustained by both Paulo Dybala and Lorenzo Pellegrini are not serious as initially thought of.

According to Il Tempo, Dybala is in the US with the Argentine national team and is expected to undergo further monitoring by the medical staff. The player shall not return to the Italian capital and, if necessary, will rest with his Argentina teammates.

Lorenzo Pellegrini’s status, however, is more uncertain. The midfielder is at Coverciano with Roberto Mancini’s Italy and is still nursing an injury to his flexor muscle he suffered during Roma-Atalanta.

Today, he will undergo further tests which will determine an eventual return to Rome.
