Roma are nearing their departure date for the week-long Portugal tour in Algarve where Mourinho and his men will face the likes of Cadiz, Casa Pia and Waalwijk in a series of friendlies on the Portuguese coast.
Mourinho is counting to bring Wijnaldum for the first time since his injury. The Dutchman will continue to train individually but be integrated with the rest of the team ahead of his return to the pitch in January.
According to Il Messaggero, Paulo Dybala and Rui Patricio – both still away on international duty in Qatar – will directly join the Giallorossi in the final days of December and train regularly with the group only a few days before Roma’s first match after the break with Bologna on 4 January.
