RomaPress – Roma were dealt a gut punch just moments ahead of their crucial league showdown against Atalanta at the Stadio Olimpico.
The Giallorossi confirmed star-man Paulo Dybala tweaked his left hamstring during the pre-game warmup and wouldn’t be available for tonight’s clash in the Italian capital.
Nemanja Matić will replace La Joya in Roma’s formation, pushing captain Lorenzo Pellegrini from the midfield to the attack.
The extent of Dybala’s injury isn’t known and he’s still being evaluated by the club’s medical staff. Though, he’s expected to undergo follow-up scans tomorrow.
The news comes just one day after first-choice right back Rick Karsdorp suffered a torn meniscus and will be unavailable for the next 4-6 weeks.
