Roma attacker Paulo Dybala previewed tonight’s match-up at the Stadio Olimpico between Roma and Real Sociedad which will mark the first leg of the round of 16.
“Both teams are in a similar situation: fighting for the top positions in their respective leagues and for the same position in the Europa League. Both teams have important players who can make the difference. Both teams can go through, let’s hope it’s going to be us,” Dybala told Marca.
“I have seen them play the last few games and they are in good shape. I don’t think anyone put Real Sociedad in the position they are now at the beginning of the year.”
“They have David Silva, who makes things look very easy on the pitch and is a player I really admire and we will have to keep an eye on. Their coach plays an offensive gameplan with ball possession and high pressing. It is a brand of football that I like to watch.”
“Winning the Europa League with Roma would be incredible, the city would explode almost the same way Buenos Aires exploded when Argentina won the World Cup. Roma fans deserve it and we hope we can do it.”
“Anyone who hasn’t come to the Olimpico to see a match probably doesn’t understand it. I would recommend it. There are few places where football is experienced like here. There are many in South America, but not many in Europe. It’s a real show, the fans are unique and if it were just for them, Roma would deserve to be in the top positions.”
“That’s why we have to play well in order to take Roma as high as it can go,” he added.
