Roma attacker Paulo Dybala can now celebrate Argentina’s World Cup trophy after coming on late in extra time for Scaloni’s team.
The ex-Juve man was asked to come on in the final minute of extra time before a nerve-wracking series of penalties against France.
Dybala did not shy away from the moment and soon followed in Lionel Messi’s steps, scoring a calm yet crucial penalty kick, fooling France keeper Hugo Lloris.
Following Argentina’s celebrations, Dybala is expected to make his return to the Italian capital as a World Cup winner in the final week of December, before joining Mourinho’s men at the start of the New Year.
