Paulo Dybala may have come to a crossroads in his time at Roma.
The Argentine forward is being linked with a potential exit from the Italian capital this summer.
However, the player seems to be still keen on the possibility of extending his stay with the Giallorossi.
In a recent interview, Dybala reiterated that his primary objective is to win trophies, possibly with Roma.
Roma’s recent failure to qualify for Champions League football could, however, distort such plans.
For Dybala it remains of imperative importance to compete for titles – something which Roma may not be able to guarantee for next season as the club plan on restructuring the entire roster and reducing the wage bill along the way.
In the meantime, the player has a release clause in his contract which will be valid for any foreign club and will only run out at the end of July.
Recently, Dybala was linked with Atletico Madrid and Chelsea as well, with more proposals expected to come from the Premier League.
However, La Repubblica reports that – despite Dybala’s interest in exploring options from England’s top flight – no offers have come yet for him from the Premier League.
If Dybala were to stay at Roma, the club would likely renegotiate a new deal.
Next season, Dybala is predicted to earn up to €8 million net per season.
