The future of Paulo Dybala at Roma is at stake as the season winds to an end and it remains unclear if the Giallorossi will play in the Champions League next season.

The Argentine forward is reportedly in the dumps following Lionel Scaloni’s decision to exclude him from the upcoming friendly fixtures leading up to the Copa America tournament this summer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, this exclusion has hurt Dybala a lot as the player was hoping to be rewarded for his remarkable season in the Italian capital.

At the moment, however, the player is still undecided on what to do next – his contract with the Giallorossi expires next year and there is a release clause valid for clubs outside of Italy that runs out at the end of July.

The newspaper reports that Dybala’s entourage officially picked up talks with Roma a few days ago and inquired about the club’s long-term plans following the appointment of Daniele De Rossi and technical director Florent Ghisolfi.

It will be up to Ghisolfi to continue discussions with Dybala and his agent, Jorge Antun, to resolve all questions concerning the player’s future.
