With Paulo Dybala set to leave Roma, his former agent discussed the player’s shocking decision to move to Al Qadsiah.

Claudio Anellucci, former agent of Paulo Dybala, released an interview to TMW Radio regarding the current situation of the Argentine player.

According to Anellucci, Joya’s decision to move to Saudi Arabia was motivated by the choice to obtain a huge financial compensation, rather than continue playing in Europe and risk becoming a second row player.

“I know a little about Dybala’s thoughts as a man and I know that he must feel at the center of everything that surrounds him,” said Anellucci.

“The moment he feels you don’t trust him enough, you lose 50% of Dybala the man and footballer,” he added.

“He evidently went to talk to the coach and understood that he couldn’t be 100% himself anymore and wasn’t at the center of the project. He preferred to take a lot of money and not stay to be just another player like everybody else.”

“The same thing happened at Juventus and as a result he let the contract expire in the hope of signing with Inter.”

“The adventure at Roma is in line with what he expected, with his frailties, falls and relapses. When players become afraid of getting hurt – that’s a problem. I think he could have done much more. For me, Roma will not sign Dybala’s replacement, they will only get Soulé’s replacement.”
