Paulo Dybala is the last Roma player still competing in this year’s edition of the World Cup in Qatar following Rui Patricio’s recent elimination with Portugal.

Whereas the Portuguese shot-stopper is expected to make his return to the Italian capital in a couple of weeks, Paulo Dybala’s return remains uncertain given Argentina’s chance at making it to the final on 18 December.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Dybala is eager to return at Mourinho’s disposal and will do everything he can to be involved in Roma’s first game after the break with Bologna including cutting his vacation short.

However, for the moment it remains to be seen how far Argentina will get. If they were to win the World Cup – the Italian newspaper argues – Dybala would have to take part in the celebrations in his home country before returning to Italy only a few days before Roma-Bologna scheduled on 4 January.
