Dzeko could remain at Roma after Mourinho appointment


Despite a difficult season both on and off the pitch, Edin Dzeko’s departure this summer from Roma is no longer a certainty.

Thanks to the recent of appointment of Josè Mourinho, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Bosnian could remain in the Italian capital for next season.

Dzeko has been long linked with a summer exit after experiencing one of his worst statistical seasons with the club. In addition, he had a major falling out with soon-to-be former manager, Paulo Fonseca —- which nearly led to a January switch to Inter.

Reportedly, Mourinho is an admirer of the attacker, who has only one year remaining on his contract with the Giallorossi.
