Dzeko given significant wage increase in recent renewal

RomaPress – After being linked throughout the summer to a potential move to Inter, Roma handed star striker Edin Dzeko a contract renewal last month until 2022.

It was initially reported that the Bosnian would earn the same annual wages of his previous contract (4.5 million net) – however, a source at Roma has confirmed that this isn’t the case.

In fact, the Giallorossi handed the former Manchester City man a significant wage increase as the attacker will now earn €7.5 million (net) per season.

The new contract makes Dzeko the highest paid player on the team by a significant distance — midfielder Javier Pastore is the second largest earner at the club at 4.5 million (net) per season.
