Dzeko linked with Inter move: Roma monitor Andrea Belotti as potential replacement

With Inter reportedly on the brink of selling Lukaku to Chelsea, the Nerazzurri are looking around for options to fill the void left by the Belgian striker.

With Atalanta’s Zapata as the number one candidate, Inter are also considering to make a move for a second striker. That second striker being Edin Dzeko. With his contract set to expire next year, the Bosnian international would be an economical addition to Inter’s attack.

As reported by Alfredo Pedulla of Sportitalia, earlier today there has been contact between Inter and Dzeko’s entourage. Consequently, Roma – despite reaffirming their confidence in the Bosnian striker with Mourinho personally reassuring him of his key role for the upcoming campaign – want to be ready in case Dzeko decided to move away from the capital.

As a result, Roma have reportedly gotten in touch with Belotti’s entourage. Torino’s number 9 has been given 72 hours to decide whether to accept Torino’s offer for a contract renewal (around €4 million including bonuses).

Atalanta are also interested in the Italian international and in case Zapata were to join Inter late in the transfer window, the Bergamaschi would also be in the race for Belotti.
