Dzeko reflects on last year’s success with Roma

Edin Dzeko took home the crown of Bosnian of the year awarded by the Bosnian Federation. These are his words to Nezavisne:

Your season of last year?
Fight, desire, will, happiness and sadness: all this was my last year. I have continued to give my best and I will do so. If they told me that we would play the Champions League semi-final, I would have laughed. However, we slowly grew in confidence and began to believe in our possibilities. It was one of the best seasons in the history of Roma and my best in the Champions League – and maybe that goal at Chelsea is the most beautiful of my career. In the end I was sad, because I was convinced that we could play in the final.

Roma drew Porto yesterday.
We will try to repeat something similar as last season, even if I think that last season is unlikely to be repeated. It was all odd, especially those fantastic matches with Barcelona and Liverpool, they were uncertain until the end.

Roma?
Scoring is my job. I am happy to have written my name in such a short time in the history of a club like Roma, which in the past had great strikers. But this is just an incentive to give even more in the future. The expectations of the fans are huge, but mine are enormous.
