Dzeko: “Sorry my words were interpreted as a criticism.”

Edin Dzeko took to his official Instagram to address the controversy surrounding his interview after the match against Atletico. The Bosnian stated he felt very isolated in attack and many outlets have misconstrued his words as an attack on Di Francesco.

“Yesterday’s was a very difficult match, fought ball by ball. I wanted to make a big contribution but in matches of this kind, it is not always easy, so at the end of the match, I was not very happy.”

“I’m sorry, though, that my words have been interpreted as a criticism. I think what the Mister is teaching us is right and by following them to the best we can, we will get the results we want! Forza Roma!”
