Roma will keep their fingers crossed tomorrow as striker Edin Dzeko will undergo his first COVID-19 test since testing positive nine days ago.
Since tomorrow marks the tenth day since his diagnosis, the Bosnian will undergo a new swab: if it is negative, he will then be subjected to a second test. If the follow-up test is also negative, as per the current protocols in Serie A, then he will be able to return and will be available for this weekend’s league fixture against Parma.
Corriere della Sera has reported that if Dzeko is unable to feature against Parma, Roma boss Paulo Fonseca will hand Borja Mayoral another chance to start.
