Dzeko’s surgeon: “I advised him not to play against Samp and to return against Milan”.

Edin Dzeko’s presence for next weekend’s match against Sampdoria remains in question.

Today, Professor Bruno Pesucci, the facial surgeon who operated on the Bosnian last Monday at Villa Stuart, spoke to Corriere dello Sport about the potential return time of the attacker.

“I advised him not to partake in the trip to Genova for Samp. Dzeko will resume his physical preparation on Monday, and will gradually be able to do some training with a mask and then be on the bench for the Europa League clash on 24 October. If he isn’t used, then he can schedule his return for the clash against Milan. He needs to go a full week without feeling pain”.
