Ebrima Darboe – currently on loan at Sampdoria in Serie B from Roma – was recently asked to discuss the turbulent trajectory of his young career.
After a failed loan spell at LASK, the midfielder is now on his way to recovering the ideal match fitness levels in Serie B while still reckoning with the limits brought on by the painful ACL injury suffered in 2022.
“I owe a lot to Alberto De Rossi, a father figure to me,” said Darboe of the former Roma Primavera head coach in an interview with Il Secolo XIX.
“I also owe a lot to two special technicians, Fonseca and Mourinho who helped me a lot and taught me so many things in my career as a first team player.”
