Ebrima Darboe has suffered a serious injury in Roma’s preseason friendly with Portimonense which forced the Gambian midfielder to return to the Italian capital and undergo medical tests to assess the damage sustained to the painful right leg.
As reported by Il Tempo, Darboe suffered an ACL injury in his right leg which will require surgery.
The injury strikes at a bad time as Darboe and his entourage were in search of a new destination where the player could increase his playing time.
For the time being, the player’s attention will turn to recovering from a serious injury. There is no set date for a return, and a timeline for recovery will only be established after Darboe has undergone required surgery.
