Roma are rumored to be nearing an agreement for Zeki Çelik of Lille as the club prepare a second bid which they are confident the French side will accept.
Çelik is expected to become a new Roma player in the coming days after weeks of negotiations, allowing the Turkish fullback to participate in the team’s preseason.
Moreover, Il Tempo reports that, as a separate deal, 20-year-old midfielder Ebrima Darboe may be headed in the opposite direction. Darboe is, in fact, going to join Lille on loan.
There he will reunite with former Roma coach Paulo Fonseca who responsible for giving Darboe a chance to debut in the first team in the 20/21 campaign.
The Italian newspaper claims that Darboe’s loan will have an option to buy inserted. The deal might take some time but should be finalized in the next few days as the French federation require additional documents for Darboe’s transfer.
