Ebrima Darboe suffered a serious injury in Roma’s second preseason in Portugal with Portimonense. The Gambian midfielder was forced to leave the team’s training camp and return to the Italian capital.
According to Corriere della Sera, after undergoing a series of tests that revealed structural damage to the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, Darboe will have surgery performed in the next few days.
The surgery will take place at the Gut Klinik in Sankt Moritz, Switzerland. Darboe is expected to miss the next six months of action.
