Former Roma striker Edin Dzeko, now a new Fiorentina player, discussed the most memorable game of his career.
In an interview with Sportweek, Dzeko recounted the spectacle of Roma-Barcelona in 2018.
“Roma-Barcelona comes before everything else,” recalled the Bosnian forward.
“We hadn’t given up for lost, but after the 4-1 defeat in the first leg, things were looking dire. In the end, one goal was enough: 1-0 to us shortly after kick-off.”
“The Olimpico became a cauldron, the team came together and unleashed incredible energy. From then on, we all believed in it.”
