Roma midfielder Edoardo Bove expressed his admiration for Giallorossi boss Jose Mourinho in a recent interview with DAZN.
“Everyone has a different path,” said Bove while discussing his young career in the capital. “I was lucky and did well at taking advantage of a certain type of opportunity and staying here instead of leaving.”
“Now, of course, I’m happy with what I’m doing. It’s a very nice moment because you always project yourself to the future while also being young, so you’re always very active and very energetic.”
“By giving me so much responsibility, Mourinho leads me to have a relationship of great trust with him,” he continued.
“When a coach gives great confidence to a player I think repaying it is the best thing one can do. Of course the coach is really a master of the mentality he transmits to us, of the wickedness that we must have on the field and during training. The fact that he passed on this confidence to me and given this responsibility has helped me grow. Because it’s one thing to play without pressure and it’s another to confirm it match after match – that’s the hardest thing. That’s why Mourinho has been fundamental for my growth.”
