Edoardo Bove could return preemptively from international duty.
The Roma midfielder – who recently emerged as a regular starter for Mourinho’s team – is reportedly dealing with a swollen ankle, reports Corriere dello Sport.
Bove suffered a blow to the ankle in the match against Cagliari. However, the light swelling did not prevent him from turning down the call-up from Italy’s U21 squad.
His availability for Italy’s match with Norway is at risk as he continues being evaluated by the national team’s staff.
If the swelling were to continue, Bove would make his return to Trigoria to prepare for the upcoming games with Monza and Salvia Prague.
