Roma midfielder Edoardo Bove shared an in-depth interview with StarCasinòSport where he discussed various topics.
Among other things, Bove described the feeling of playing for Roma’s first team after growing up an avid Giallorossi supporter, his rapport with Mourinho and Francesco Totti’s ‘sacred’ legacy.
“The feelings behind playing for these colors are difficult to describe,” said Bove. “But the feeling is almost always the same since you were little. When you grow you gain awareness and now I understand the importance and even more the emotion of wearing this shirt.”
“How I earned Mourinho’s trust? I think it’s a question of doing what the coach asks and doing the simplest thing is never trivial. The relationship between a player and a coach is based on trust, if a coach trusts that you can deliver what he wants, then chances are you will have a great time working together. I believe it is the component that allows me to do what Mourinho asks of me.”
“My ideal jersey number? I have always worn the number 8 in the youth sector, I would really like to wear it again. I’d like the number 5 too. I would never dare to wear the number 10, not because of the type of pressure but because in Rome it is sacred, it is a religion. I would never allow myself to come anywhere near Totti.”
“Comparisons with Daniele De Rossi? He has always been an example for me. We have a determination and determination on the pitch that unites us, but I have to learn many things from him and I will continue to try to improve as much as possible. I really liked De Rossi as a player.”
