Roma midfielder Edoardo Bove is steadily proving to be one of the best and most reliable players on the Giallorossi’s roster.

His ascent from the club’s Primavera to Jose Mourinho’s first team has been on full display for well over a year now.

Over recent months, Bove entered Mourinho’s starting formation on a regular basis and repeatedly delivered convincing performances despite Roma’s poor form this season.

Most recently, Bove was hit on the head by a beer bottle thrown by Lazio fans during the Derby della Capitale. Bove’s lack of reaction, his decision maintain composure and not create a scene impressed everyone, fans and the club’s management alike.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, through his display of maturity and leadership, the possibility of seeing Edoardo Bove wear the Giallorossi’s captain’s armband in the future is not so remote if the 21-year-old continues to perform the way he’s been performing for the past months.
