Roma midfielder Edoardo Bove was interviewed during the club’s preseason training camp in Portugal.
The former Primavera player spoke to DAZN about the opportunity to work with Mourinho three years in a row as well as his personal objectives for the upcoming season.
“I was lucky enough to start with the very top coach in the game. Mourinho is one of the best coaches in the world, I’m blessed to have him,” said Bove.
“We’re very close, it’s a bond that has evolved over time and I hope it can continue this way,” he added.
“When he referred to me as a sick dog, I took it as the highest of compliments because I knew exactly what he meant by it. I thank him for it.”
“My objectives? I have become aware of my means. I carved out more space for myself in the team’s roster, this gave me great confidence. This year I’m super motivated, hoping to do well. Obviously, I hope to play as many games as possible and do it to the best of my ability. I want to grow as a player.”
“We are aware that we have played in two consecutive European finals, we know what we have to do and what we are capable of. We’ll start over from what we’ve achieved over these last two years, but we’ll give everything to reconfirm ourselves again this year.”
