Former Primavera player Edoardo Bove has been regularly training with the first team since the start to preseason.
The 19-year-old midfielder recently gave an interview to Corriere dello Sport where he detailed his passion for Roma, his relationship with Mourinho and more.
“For me it’s an unbelievable emotion to be a Roman and a Romanista and be able to play for this club. You know when the fans sang the hymn at the Olimpico without the music? I got chills, as if I were in the stands with them.”
“Trigoria is my second home.”
On Mourinho:
“Despite his winning career, Mourinho has the humility to bet on young peoplers. He talks to us, he jokes, he gives us advice.”
“I can only be grateful to him. And not just because he let come on against Fiorentina. He tells me to always stay on track, that the opportunities will come sooner or later.”
On his teammates:
“Pellegrini is a point of reference for all of us. He has made this journey before me and knows what it means. Gianluca Mancini is also another one of those who encourage me and nudge me whenever I need it.”
On future ambitions:
“To be happy as a man. Then, why not, win a World Cup with Italy and maybe score a goal under the Curva Sud at the last minute. But first of all I want to be a happy and fulfilled person.”
