Roma are less than 48 hours away from facing Milan in a crucial Europa League return leg of the competition’s quarterfinals round.
The Giallorossi will have to go up against Stefano Pioli’s men without Evan Ndicka – who recently collapsed on the pitch after suffering thoracic trauma in the match against Udinese – and Bryan Cristante – out for suspension.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Bove is the favorite to replace Cristante in Roma’s starting line-up, hence his lack of playing time at Udinese over the weekend.
The young midfielder will be tasked with important duties alongside the likes of Leandro Paredes and Lorenzo Pellegrini.
The newspaper claims Bove will be, among other things, entrusted with helping cover and limit Rafael Leao’s movements on the right flank.
