Edoardo Bove’s agent demands Lazio’s apologies after bottle incident

Andy Mattioli

The agent of Edoardo Bove spoke out against Lazio and their supporters for throwing a beer bottle at the 21-year-old midfielder on Wednesday night.

Bove was hit in the neck by a beer bottle thrown from the stands of Lazio fans on Wednesday night as he was coming off the pitch in the second half of the Derby della Capitale.

His agent, Diego Tavano, said to TvPlay, “Bove’s gesture was immense. It is what children and young people, but also adults, should see. It was also underrated. In fact, if I were the president of the FIGC I would give him a prize. He didn’t react despite being hit with a bottle. Few would have responded like that.”

“On the pitch we see many negative episodes, but the positive ones must be highlighted and this is one of those cases. I don’t know if the president of Lazio has made an official apology, as he is responsible for his fans, but that would also be a nice gesture.”

“Also what did Bove say in the interview right after the match? ‘I don’t have to say anything, the competent authorities will take care of it’. Tell me who else would have done this.”
