The future of Edoardo Bove has become subject of much speculation as the young Roma midfielder was recently linked with a possible departure in the summer.

The reason for such rumors seems to be Daniele De Rossi’s scarce usage of the former Primavera player.

With De Rossi in charge, Bove made only 7 appearances from the start in 24 games, only four of which came in Serie A – a significant drop in minutes compared to the first half of the season when Jose Mourinho was Roma’s head coach.

According to Il Messaggero, even though he likes him, De Rossi does not consider Bove up to par with other players in his position including Cristante, Pellegrini and Paredes.

The newspaper claims Bove’s agent, Diego Tavano, is growing unhappy with the player’s situation at the club.

Bove is said to be on the club’s transfer list this summer: if a satisfactory offer were to arrive at Roma’s doorstep, the Giallorossi will consider selling him.

Besides, the 21-year-old himself might choose to opt for another team in the summer, in search of more playing time.
