Roma’s season-long injury crisis rages on just a few days ahead of their critical Europa League clash against Ajax.
Sky Sport reports that attacker Stephan El Shaarawy will miss the next fifteen days after he was diagnosed with a thigh strain. As a result, manager Paulo Fonseca will be without another critical piece for Thursday’s affair against the Dutch giants.
The former Milan man joins Marash Kumbulla, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Nicolo Zaniolo, and Chris Smalling on the growing list of unavailable first-choice players.
El Shaarawy has struggled since rejoining the Giallorossi in late January from Shanghai Shenhua. He has tallied 1 goal and 2 assists in eleven appearances in all comeptitions.
