El Shaarawy to miss two weeks of action with calf injury

Roma will have to do without Stephan El Shaarawy in their upcoming fixtures, reports Sky Sport.

The Italian winger is set to miss the next two weeks with a calf injury he picked up before the match against Sassuolo.

The player did not travel with the team as he was forced to forfeit his presence at the Mapei Stadium due to a discomfort in his left calf.

El Shaarawy is now included on the injured list alongside Roger Ibanez and Leonardo Spinazzola and will thus miss the upcoming game vs Verona.
