RomaPress – The COVID-19 pandemic continues to effect Roma after incoming attacker, Stephan El Shaarawy, tested positive for the virus this morning.
The Italian was subjected to an oral swab late yesterday evening, just hours after he touched down in the Italian capital to complete his return to the Giallorossi. The results returned a positive diagnosis early this morning, which is why “il Faraone” was not present at Villa Stuart hospital to undergo his medical examinations.
The 28 year-old is currently in isolation but he will undergo a new test tomorrow morning. Before taking off from Dubai yesterday to return to Rome, El Shaarawy was subjected to another COVID-19 test, which returned a negative result.
He will undergo a follow-up test tomorrow morning and continue to re-test in the following days.
