Stephan El Shaarawy has been consistently one of Roma’s best performers for Jose Mourinho’s side despite being faced with limited playing time.
The Italian attacker recently took Zaniolo’s place in Mourinho’s starting eleven and provided the team with solid defensive coverage and attacking output, giving them a precious lead over Spezia a week ago.
Now, El Shaarawy looks to feature in the big match with Napoli on Sunday. According to Corriere dello Sport, the ex-Milan wants to convince the club to extend his contract which is set to expire in June.
El Shaarawy hopes to be able to continue making an impact and earn a new contract as he enters his fifth year at the club.
