Stephen El Shaarawy spoke to Roma Radio today, a day after ending his scoring drought in Roma’S 4-0 victory:
What time it is for the team?
We are growing now, it’s clear that the victories bring confidence and enthusiasm. Yesterday was a good match for us, we faced it in the right way. In this team we need continuity but we are on track.
What does Spalletti ask of you?
He asks a lot defensive work from me and look to perform beyond scoring goals. He asks both quantity and quality from me.
Would you like to play center forward?
I have always played outside on the wing, but I have made myself available just like I did with the Azzurri.
The non-celebration after your goal?
It ‘been a knee-jerk reaction, my personal outlet. I tried to get a goal in recent games and I had failed.
You feel strong?
Yes, we feel strong: we demonstrated that we are last year. We must give continuity to our play and have a better management of the ball throughout the match.
The Mister is demanding because he knows that we are strong. He drives us. He is the first to believe in us.
It all depends on us, it’s a tough place to play. But I’m sure we will do well.
