The future of Stephan El Shaarawy remains uncertain with the player being only a few months away from free agency.
The Italian attacker, however, continues to insist and wants to extend his contract with the Giallorossi – the club he considers home away from home since first joining in 2016.
According to Il Messaggero, El Shaarawy has already reiterated his willingness to take a paycut in order to facilitate a contract renewal.
Roma will have to make a decision in the coming weeks but want to prioritize other contractual situation including Chris Smalling and Paulo Dybala’s.
