Uzbeki striker Eldor Shomurodov spoke about his failed spell at Roma following his move to the Italian capital in the summer of 2021 from Genoa.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Shomurodov – who is currently on loan at Cagliari from Roma – looked back on his decision to join the Giallorossi and failing to meet the moment.
“It didn’t go as I hoped. But I too should have played better, played harder on the pitch. Rome remains a great city with a beautiful fan base,” said the 29-year-old.
“Will I stay at Cagliari? I don’t know, it’s too soon to tell. We’ll think about it once the season’s over. But I do love it here,” he added.
