The future of Eldor Shomurodov remains unclear the Uzbek striker is nearing the end of his loan at Cagliari.

With the season winding to a close, Shomurodov – on loan in Sardinia from Roma – is uncertain about his fate given that Cagliari have shown reluctance in activating the established buy option of €9 million.

His output this season has not been impressive – 3 goals in 21 games for Claudio Ranieri’s side – but the player’s workrate and dedication seem to be considered the strongest attributes by a Cagliari team that is still fighting to avoid relegation in the last two games of the season.

Shomurodov has no future at Roma – the capital club have made it clear to him that he does not fit into their plans any longer and will do anything to find him a new permanent home this summer, reports Corriere della Sera.
