Emenalo, Boldt out of the race as Roma’s new Sporting Director

RomaPress – Hamburg’s Jonas Boldt and former Chelsea director Michael Emenalo are no longer in the running to become the next Sporting Director at Roma.

Multiple sources at Roma have revealed that the pair are no longer under consideration by owners Dan and Ryan Friedkin to fill the vacancy.

The 38 year-old Boldt met earlier this month in Germany with the Giallorossi, who were left impressed by his ideas and long term vision. However, after Hamburg discovered that there was the risk of losing Boldt, they almost immediately opened contract renewal talks with him and his representatives.

Meanwhile, Emenalo has been offering himself to Roma since early September. The former Chelsea and Monaco executive was a profile that the Friedkin’s considered, however, after they politely declined his services.
