Empoli boss Paolo Zanetti in awe of Mourinho, wary of Roma’s qualities

Empoli manager Paolo Zanetti previewed tomorrow night’s fixture in Tuscany with Jose Mourinho’s Roma. The Italian technician recognized the Giallorossi’s qualities but sounded confident in his own side’s approach to the match.

“We’ll face them with balance and humility,” he told Corriere dello Sport. We do not want and cannot be spectators of the match, we must keep our identity.”

“It is more dangerous to defend 0-0. If It do it against this team, then I lose for sure,” he added.

“By playing our way, we have more chances of getting a positive results. Of course, Mourinho is an extraordinary coach who can punish you with his counter-attacking style of football.”

“We will have to stay alert on offense and defense, in order not to allow too many open spaces. We cannot fall into the trap that Roma want to set for us.”

“When we talk about Dybala, we are talking about a champion who tips the balance of the game in his favor. But you can’t think of just focusing on him. To stop Dybala and Roma, we must play as a team.”
