Empoli midfielder Davide Frattesi has caught the attention of many throughout Italy this season. The 20 year-old Roman has 5 goals and 2 assists to his name in this campaign with the Serie B side and a return to Roma could be in the works for this summer.
The Giallorossi possesses an option to reacquire Frattesi in June from Sassuolo, who currently own his rights.
Today, the youngster admitted during an interview with Corriere dello Sport that his dream remains featuring in the red and yellow of Roma.
“Trigoria is my home. I won the SuperCoppa and the Coppa Italia with the Primavera alongside Luca Pellegrini, Tumminello, Marchizza and others. Alberto De Rossi was a second father for us. He never lost his patience with us,” he said.
“Every Romanista child grows up with the legend of Totti, but as a midfielder — my idol is Daniele De Rossi. Training with him was crazy”.
He added, “My dream? To score at least 8 goals this season and win a trophy with the Roma shirt”.
