Empoli midfielder Davide Frattesi, who is owned by Sassuolo, was interviewed today by Il Tirreno and addressed the transfer rumors linking him to a return to his boyhood club, Roma.
The Giallorossi have an option to reacquire the midfielder — though, this summer but it is still unclear whether or not they will activate the option.
“My primary goal is to improve, to grow. It’s exactly what I had in mind when I arrived here and I must say that Empoli and the environment here are helping me a lot in this regard,” he said.
“Roma? They’re rumors, but it’s a pleasure to be linked to the Giallorossi. Today, my reality comes in the form of Empoli and I’m happy about this”.
