Empoli are not keen on letting go of their starlet in young Tommaso Baldanzi.

The Italian midfielder was recently linked with a move to Roma – the Giallorossi were said to have been working with Baldanzi’s agent to facilitate a January transfer to the capital.

However, Empoli have stood in the way of both parties as they maintain that Baldanzi is a vital player in their battle against relegation.

According to Tuttosport, Empoli have made it clear that they plan on keeping Baldanzi until the end of the season.

Roma have not given up yet, but time is not in the Giallorossi’s favor as the transfer window winds to an end.
